Not only were they cute, they were also very tasty. If you’re interested in buying some for yourself, you should check out the “Carriage House Inn”. They’re on sale every Friday (duh!). Anyways, we were all seated at the dinner table as a family, all waiting to eat the lovely meal (matzah ball soup, gourmet Caesar salad, etc, etc), but of course, we had to pray… So, my dad led in prayer… Prayer for the bread, the wine, blessings upon his wife, and his kids; then he prayed a general prayer for the family, giving thanks for our day, and the many blessings that we have been given, etc, etc. When my father finished praying, out of no where, my sister asked my dad if she too could pray. So, okay, yeah, uh, go ahead Sis, might as well since we’re all here STARVING! (Just kidding Sis) So, she prayed, and said something along the lines of “Thank you L-RD for Tom’s job, and thank you L-RD, cause I’m 6 weeks pregnant!”
Jaws dropped, smiles, shock ‘n’ awe, tears of joy. My father is absolutely excited, my mother is joyful, the kids looked part happy and part confused. My sister was crying out in joy, Tom was comforting her with a smile on his face, and I, well, till this day I’m still in shock, simply because, well, I’M GONNA BE AN UNCLE!!! Can you imagine? Me? An UNCLE!!!
Well, just thought I should not only keep a record of this, but also share this piece of information with everyone! [Sigh]... A Shabbat to remember...
